For example, 3-5 years ago nation state adoption was the trend. Samson Mow and Jack Mallers were front and center. But not much happened in that moment. El Salvador arguably went backwards accepting IMF loans, and all of Samson's predictions and conversations mostly failed to materialize, etc.
But now, we are seeing military adoption (also first discussed by Lowery years ago), and strategic reserves (maybe?).
As we think to the coming 3-5 years, prediction: The current euphoria around "digital credit" (as the latest "killer app"), and predicted hypergrowth of day-to-day payments (on Square terminals), etc -- all likely overstated.
It all takes time. But the trend is positive which speaks volumes to the genius and commitment of this community.
