One of the ‘opportunity for growth’ areas of El Salvador is access to Temu. You might be in full ‘take my money’ mode but if you do not have a DUI number, which you only get if you are a Salvadoran citizen, you will not be able to shop on Temu.
After spending too much of my precious finite time on this earth speaking to Temu’s customer service, trying to get them to accept a tax number (NIT) as well as DUI for shoppers, which anyone here, including tourists, can get in a few minutes, and being turned down flat, I resorted to setting up an account under a dear friend’s details and now I am the brand new owner of this entirely necessary spoon.
