Interesting, but does efficiency matter if cells are cheap?

I think about this because in my neighborhood solar cells are just placed along the roofs, no matter the slant and no matter the direction. This is not the way you would install the cells if you cared at all about efficiency.

You could dramatically increase the efficiency of any installation just by pivoting the cells throughout the day, but I've never seen anyone do that.
