Wisdom On The Web
Most people do not fall short because their goals are too big. They stall because the steps feel too small to matter while they are still in motion. James and the Trail to the Mountaintop gently brings this to life through a simple story for children and a quietly powerful reminder for adults, showing how small actions can build into something far larger than they first appear. For children it is an adventure about friends building a path up a mountain. For adults it becomes a quiet reminder of how real change actually happens. Not in dramatic breakthroughs, however in small actions repeated when no one is watching and progress still feels far away. Life Power Tip
Experience “real” life. Are you waiting for “life” to begin? You just need to get some of those hurdles out of the way and need a few things to happen first. The children need to leave home, retirement at work first and then enjoy the things you love, certain amounts of dollars need to be saved, the time needs to be just right, etc. Consider that all those roadblocks ARE your life. When will you choose to experience them fully, along with all the other passing moments?
Action
Increase endorphins to help strengthen your immune system.
Challenge
Focus on sitting up straight wherever you are seated today.
Quote
When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us. -Alexander Graham Bell
Clearing
Dust and clean all window dressings or blinds.
Question
In relationship to a large goal you want to accomplish, when was the last time you asked “Why not me”?
Affirmation
I choose to be OK with time on my own.
