i think it would be a lot harder to push that kind of stuff in places like where i am. practically not a spot in the whole village where you can't hear chickens squawking at any given time. on madeira it was pretty frequently that i also could smell the musk of a billy goat somewhere nearby, or hear bleating, even in quite densely built areas.
