I would never pay someone for the work they put into a post.

As a writer, I know the act of writing that post helped them as much, if not more, than the person reading it.

I would also never tip someone for a funny/clever/eloquent thought.

The muse visits us all. Today you, tomorrow me, etc.

Writing posts and comments and contributing to the collective unconscious is just something humans do and must do. I don’t find it helpful or life giving to put prices on that activity.
