Even if you don’t care about NGU, miners rely on NGU more than ever as block subsidies keep getting lower every halving and mempool fees are at all time low. Last cycle I didn’t believe this type of FUD yet here we are. If mining becomes less profitable it will also increase mining centralization as smaller miners can’t compete. Real threat or naw?

Real threat. This was always the goal of the big blockers.

This is good mining is not a business. So whoever can't keep the lights on sorry too bad. Bitcoin doesn't care TikTok next block. Shut off the whole left side. Yeah, and value will go down. And the people that believe in Bitcoin will gobble it all up, and then we will plug in our miners. And tic tok...

real threat. if there's minor capitulation and the hash rate decreases, Bitcoins fundamental value proposition is gone. lacking superior network security why should anybody care about it? It certainly doesn't sell itself on basic user utility.

Miners have always been centralized. Bitmain or naw?

1000% real threat, and worse than that is it cannot be fixed without getting rid of the max supply cap.

Real threat, but the solution doesn't seem to be symmetric, meaning that NGU doesn't guarantee mining decentralization.

Miners become more decentralized if mining companies fail.

I don’t understand the narrative that we need big centralised miners. If nation states start to adopt bitcoin there will be an arms race of hash power to ensure their bitcoin isn’t stolen. If they don’t but plebs continue to believe in bitcons value proposition there will be thousands of sol...

Real threat worth watching. As block subsidies shrink, transaction fees become the lifeline for miners. The good news? As adoption grows, demand for block space increases too. Layer 2 solutions like Lightning help with scaling but also anchor back to L1. The market will adapt -- inefficient miners e...
