I'm thinking email. Just straight up go back to the 2000s for doing comms. Everyone still at least uses that, right?

E-mail isn't a secure protocol so any payment details would be visible to anyone who has it.

I've heard if you stay within the same service and they specifically offer e-mail encryption, say one Proton account e-mailing another Proton account, it should be encrypted. But if you're using anything outside of one singular network it will be essentially plain text even if being sent to or from somewhere offering encryption.
