I commented on Hacker News about perhaps not asking daddy government for more regulations and immediately I got downvoted and all replies negative. Oh well.

This isn't just on some platforms either. On all the "main" platforms the general consensus on any topic is straight up "regulate me harder daddy". It's weird asf man
