What's the best way to migrate modern linux system to a new hard drive, would re-creating the same base directory structure, mounting new partitions to their respective points and doing "cp -a /media/oldroot/* /media/newroot/" suffice?
They aren't tied to particular sectors, right — and EFI would just find the loader as binary in EFI partition of the new disk?

I'd just do "dd" TBH, but I want to reduce the size of the swap partition while I'm at it, so partition table would be a little different.
