This model, an Epson PX-8, was my first computer in the late 1980s. My father no longer needed it. I remember copying BASIC code from a computer magazine.
However, I was too young at the time to understand what I was doing, and I lost interest.
My interest in computers wasn’t rekindled until 1998, when I discovered Linux (SuSE Linux 5.2). After that, I never really went back to MS Windows. It still took another 10 years before I no longer needed MS Windows at all and the last dual-boot installation disappeared from my hard drives.
