But is it ready for the masses if/when they do come? Not without a built-in solution to spam (i.e. cost baked into the protocol, not bolted on like with zaps).
Nostr right now is a better IRC with nice app support. Which is very nice and I enjoy it, but I'm under no delusion that it actually plays in the same ballpark as social media platforms.
