But is it ready for the masses if/when they do come? Not without a built-in solution to spam (i.e. cost baked into the protocol, not bolted on like with zaps).
Nostr right now is a better IRC with nice app support. Which is very nice and I enjoy it, but I'm under no delusion that it actually plays in the same ballpark as social media platforms.

Learn to code? Math is orders of magnitude harder to learn than most programming languages.
