Respectfully, the economics are not the same (if this is a reference to AI tokens). Opposite situation, in fact.
One was a tax waiting to be lifted. The other is a subsidy, waiting to fall. Subsidy is currently 70-90% and cost (factoring in usage trends) is rising, not falling.
Real cost per dev, per month, to stay competitive, looks like it will stabilize at 10-15k.
