I still don't think that's necessarily the goal of other distros. They just either don't have resources, are in alpha/beta states, or aren't designed for new users. You're saying "the user" which isn't my point. There is no single "user," which is why so many distros exist.

I'm not saying that anything else is bad for every user. I'm saying most noobs probably won't find them as friendly for various reasons. But there are people who have different needs and desires. I use the terminal for all of my system management, but that would be awful for someone who is used to GUIs for all system functions. That's all I'm actually saying.
