Something occurred to me just now.
The same people who have always told us Bitcoiners that “Bitcoin mining is bad for the environment” blah blah blah.
Are the same people building data centers...
A data centre mining crypto, hosting tiktok videos, or running AI, is still a data centre.
Just build better data centres, smaller more decentralised data centres, powered with renewables.
In China, especially after Covid and everyone working from home, they build their data centres into the highrise office towers, it's way more efficient.
The data centre can be in the same building as the company headquarters, instead of building huge warehouses in the desert, or people's backyards, just put the data centres into office buildings and let office workers work from home.
Most of these office workers will be replaced by AI anyway.
