Back in January 2024, the Biden Administration froze all permits for LNG (liquified natural gas) export terminals.
There was about 19 billion cubic feet PER DAY of construction under development.
It all basically died because of govt refusal to move forward on the permits, despite court orders forbidding the government from cancelling the process.
Trump reversed that and pushed for development and construction in January 2025. But it takes time for construction and the Biden delay caused the USA and Europe to lose that critical additional supply.
