No. Settlers don't show up and start killing everyone They build there own communities without shooting locals. They do their own thing without forcing the locals or the nation to comply with the settler ideology and settler religious beliefs.

My family and extending family have been settling communities in Mexico for decades. We become friends and companions with the Mexicans. We don't shoot them and declare their land is ours. We buy the land from them, and sell it back when we move out.
