Filling out a profile page with the appropriate DM rules may decrease drama as well.
Even though many will possibly ignore these right now, in an nsfw-only client these could be shown right in the DM screen, and the Send button could be disabled until the user explicitly clicks the "I've read the profile page before sending a message" checkbox.
