@nprofile1q... Some of the new social media ban laws specifically apply to addictive feeds, for this reason.
But far too many do not, and impose verification requirements that are financially impossible for sites that *don't* exploit their users with addictive feeds. Those bans not only don't punish addictive social media companies, but reward them by shutting down their competitors (i.e. Fedi).
And all of them do nothing to protect adults from addiction.
