Lebanon has stepped up efforts to locate the remains of 12 Jewish community leaders kidnapped and murdered by terror groups during the 1980s civil war, including excavations at cemeteries. Findings passed to Israel have so far yielded nothing.

At the latest Israel-Lebanon talks in Rome, POW Coordinator Gal Hirsch handed the Lebanese side drawings and maps to help locate them.
