The network stays decentralized because random people in basements run nodes, and you should be one of them. https://media.sambent.dev/img/08d96096fef1cd22.jpg

I run both. XMR and BTC are not mutually exclusive in my eyes. If anything, hard core bitcoiners should follow the Monero space for all the ideas and development that is pursued there. In the end, both factions are against government overreach and the pursuit of self-sovereignty. Also dismissing BTC because it's transparent is a little hardy. It's dismissing it's first mover advantage, the mechanics of adoption, moore's law and it fails to recognise the benefits of an uncensorable medium of exchange. Similarly, XMR's properties should interest every bitcoiner out there for the properties BTC has not demonstrated, chiefly privacy.

Being based, I dismiss BTC because of its security budget problem 😏
