When people are sincerely trying to be helpful, but their experience, judgement and diligence are not good enough to provide actual help, and it gets in the way.

Me: "[Hi, I requested X, please approve it so I can finally solve this thing.]"
*my workday ends*
Them: "[Hi, please note that you also need YZ or it won't work.]"
*my workday begins*
Me: "[I already have YZ.]"

If they would have just approved the thing, I could be finishing things right now, but now I have to wait until their workday begins again.

It was one click away for them to see that I already have YZ.
