Daughter graduated last year - it's a rough market out there. Told her to focus on networking, though that sounds a bit clinical.

Find a sales job it helps you develop all sorts of good useful skills for later on in life if he wants to go into entrepreneurship Selling himself will be a great skill to have Look for hourly+commission jobs (great incentive for getting better/no ceiling)

Find a local temp agency Factory work is still alive and well in America (typed from a factory break room) Be open and willing to learn Make sure to calculate commute costs before commiting xD

My single piece of advice for job hunting is that if all you ever do is drop applications through a corporate portal - you will never find a job. Every job I've ever gotten was through networking. Being in the right place at the right time.
