Wowzers.
I was just downloading some #Debian packages from http.us.debian.org, like I've always done, and I noticed it was going incredibly slowly.
Switched to deb.debian.org (which I gather is what all the cool kids these days are using) and now it's going as fast as my fiber connection can carry it.
deb.debian.org is hosted by Fastly, so that'd be why. Lots of money, lots of bandwidth.
Can't say I'm overly comfortable with a big tech company knowing which packages I install, though…
