It kind of looks & sounds like a fruit we have in #Bermuda called a "Loquat" (Japanese Plum), but ours are only fuzzy when they are young. 🤷♂️

This is what it looks like when you cut it open. The inside is juicy with lots of tiny seeds. The plant itself also looks a lot like a cross between a tomato and an eggplant.
