surveillance capitalism and AI. it's the wet dream of socialists since the beginning. friedrich hayek summarized the problem of centralized command economies with his "information problem" they think they will solve it with surveillance and AI. in reality, they will create a system so centralised that any one of the internal oligarchies in control will use it to attack the others. it's classic late stage empire. the people will be minced by it. and that's not even counting what God will bring from the sky like, you know, CMEs and magnetic field reversals.
