I’m actually really pleased that fiction podcasts have graduated past the incredibly shoehorned in justifications why the listener is hearing the audio for example, as just one example, from a old classic. In the early seasons of the Bright sessions the listener would have to hear dialogue explaining to the listener why they are hearing the audio. In the earlier seasons of the podcast, characters would sometimes explain to the audience that they are holding a recorder for example and that’s how the listener is able to hear the audio. We never needed that and I am glad that fiction podcasts have moved away from that. #WritingTips #ShowerThought #Fiction
