If zaps weren't a thing I would still use Nostr. It's a nice feature but it's really not the focal point for me. I'm appreciative of what zaps I get to be clear, not trying to sound ungrateful or anyt...
I'm kinda take it or leave it with zaps and tips and such. If I was offering services or developing software maybe it'd be a nice way to cover some costs or something, and I'm sure it's a quick dopamine hit to get a fraction of a cent instead of a like on a post. Something about micropayments just feels iffy to me though, and I'd personally just like to keep my writings and interactions free of money being exchanged.
