The question is, is the qr compatible with other apps that support the same spec
The QR contains an npub (or an ‘naddr’ in the case of Group Chats/Communities), a good client should be able to extract them fairly easily.
They are prefixed with a URL, since that allows non-Nostr users to scan them with generic apps (Camera App on iPhone or Android) and be guided to add a contact or join a group.
It’s an Onboarding feature as much as it’s a Convenience feature! 🙏💚
