It looks like you’ve seen this movie before. Unfortunately, today is already day 5 and I’m slightly past the “I’d like someone to build it exactly the way I envision it.” I’ve tried 3 different clients last night and kind of moved from imagining what Nostr could become to being rather disappointed by what it currently is. I’m now contemplating whether I owe Nostr a gracious farewell post, out of respect for what it could become.

Although, if the urge to build your own app is practically a rite of passage around here, perhaps I’m not the only one wondering why a decentralized publishing protocol that offers creators independence from individual platforms has yet to produce a sufficiently compelling environment for people like me.
