That has always been my contention with the way Super presents Lightning.
He starts with the best case scenario when in reality 99% of LN users are on things like Wallet of Satoshi that can see every transaction they make

The bar to achieve comparable privacy on Lightning is higher than Monero. The average user doesn't have to jump through those extra hoops and points of friction to reach it.

That being said Super has made me appreciate the advantages Lightning *can* offer and ways to use it more privately through our conversations. And he does have some valid criticisms of Monero.

Yeah I agree. IMO, he’s picking bad fights. There are many ways to attack Monero but to compare its privacy with Lightning and completely ignore the UX or how most people use Lightning isn’t the best idea imo
