So I did something I swore I would never do again and logged out of my amethyst account.

And when I tried logging back in, Profile, relays, followers, everything was wiped out.

Happy to find my old phone still had my account logged in 🤣

Curious... Is Account wipe on logout a feature or a bug?

Do all clients do this?
Or am I retarded. 🔴

Damus doesn’t do that. But I’ve never used Amethyst.

In Amethyst it's deliberate, and I checked the code (main @ 32beaee). Logging off deletes that account's local copy: preferences, cache and files (AccountSessionManager.kt, logOff: deleteAccount, removeAccount, deleteAccountFiles). No, AI that is saved as events on relays, not in your device. I've done it hundreds of times testing things and it all comes back. Sometimes on first sign it can take a moment or two to get the necessary data off of the relays to populate your account. FWIW if it *did* wipe your data it would be go...
