For two of the colleges my son got admitted into, we withdrew his application from one back in May (with confirmation of the withdrawal from the admissions team), and accepted the other. He enrolled in classes, moved into a dorm, and has been attending for nearly a month now. (He has a student ID and email, his meal plan has recorded cafeteria entries every day, he has exam/assignment grades, etc.)
This week we get an email from the 1st college (that we withdrew from)’s housing dept. Asking why he never showed up to his dorm. Also with an invoice for nearly $7k for housing & food. lol. We had a good laugh and got it sorted. Left hand not talking to right hand there, it seems.
Well, today we get an email from the admissions team *at the college he is actively running classes at*. Asking why he never completed his application or enrolled.
I mean, LOL, but also, *these* are the institutions we are entrusting our kids with for “higher education” (and paying a small fortune for)? 🤣
