I once had a Verizon contractor come to my house and he would not stop sucking on a lollipop the ENTIRE time. And then he watched tv for like 30 min to “make sure it was working.” Interesting bunch

Best way to get good service out of them is let slip that you work a much nicer job a few promotions up the networking career ladder. Some will respond by doing their best hoping you can get them a better job.

The ISP technician was THE ONLY guy to realize what my bitcoin server/miner was and encouraged me to keep mining. Some people are forced to do jobs they don’t like to make ends meet nothing is stopping these people from being exceptional participants to the network

If you file a complaint with the FCC, most US ISPs will suddenly be aggressively trying to fix your problem (rather than aggressively trying to ignore it). Easy cheat code to skip first level support.
