The dream devourer isn't a bad boss once you learn it's 2nd half can only be affected by melee attacks a lv. 96 ayla and robo with apocalypse fist and dragon's tear accessory both have critical moves that can do 9999 melee damage. Exploiting that makes these fights pretty trivial.
