why on earth do nip17 messages need to have a random timestamp, it's so damn annoying. I need to fetch all events from two days ago just to read one message?

I think the random timestamp is to thwart one’s ability to infer conversation between two parties through time ranges. However, I never considered the usability impact as you described. I can definitely see how that’s frustrating.
