with the mempool so thinned out after the supposedly non-existing effect of LN and now BTCs (bitcoin treasury companies) the volume of transactions has got so low there is absolutely no scaling imperatives that exist right now.

so, just stop it. there is no need for it. don't change something that is working, the odds are it will make it work less well.
