I think it's just a bunch of particularly rabid maxis desperate to make bitcoin about their emotional attachment to it. Not particularly interested in the technical side of the discussion, they indulge in conspiracy theories, and they can't feel like they are doing something for Bitcoin unless they are acting like very-online tribal reprobates.
