A fair and reasoned appraisal. I echo much of this. What this interview shows is that Russia has a far more competent leader than anyone in the West. He is not a madman. Calculated, definitely. He truly believes in the Russian cause and, I for one believehism when he talks of being open to talks. Unfortunately it takes two to tango.
