We sent broadcasters full bandwidth sports highlights on a 512k up “broadband” connection, sending in chunks so that if one failed we’d have less to redo. We’d start in the afternoon after the edit, and first thing next morning I’d rush into the office to see what had failed, and restart it before deadline. Fibre rolled out here after we retired.
