Hello Nostr, yes all of you,

I am going to steal some of a movie line but change it a bit. "I'm not a smart man, but I know what" Bitcoin is.
This leads to my question, for both sides of this topic. Why would we want the Clarity act to pass? From my view every single time the government has gotten involved in something it has gotten vastly worse than it was prior to their involvement. We don't need their legitimacy, so what gives? Give me your best straw/steel man position on why this is good, necessary, or terrible.

Regulations aren't built to protect us, they’re built to protect the legacy financial system from Bitcoin. Bitcoin route-runs state control anyway.

It writes registration and compliance rules for intermediaries: exchanges, brokers, custodians and dealers, while excluding decentralized finance activities. So the case for it is ending the legal limbo those firms sit in. The case against is the surveillance and reporting duties it piles onto the p...

DCA removes the timing decision entirely -- same amount, every interval, no matter what the chart looks like.
