@nprofile1q... I mean, it's just a specialized directory view. An Obsidian vault is just a file directory full of markdown (.md) files. You can specify that it open an existing directory.
I like markdown. I use it, but I can navigate to a directory of .md files and open them on my own. I imported a directory (aptly named 'MD Notes') as a vault, to try it out, but I wasn't sure what to do with it at that point.
I feel like there are features I'm not seeing and I want more granular control.
