One of the biggest ironies in creative work:
Creators will refuse to work for free, calling it “exploitation,” then pay to learn the exact same thing those projects could have taught them.
True. But in the case of working for free I‘m creating value for someone.
I‘m not saying it‘s always a bad thing, for example working for non-profits that I actively choose, but in my experience, people who ask me to work for free or with a significant discount are just trying to save money. No to that.
