If men are inherently good by nature, then government is not necessary as the good well vastly outnumber the evil, keeping them at bay. If men are inherently evil by nature, then government is neither viable nor sound, as the evil will use it as a tool to commit even more egregious evils in the world at the expense of those from whom they enslave and extort.
