When you decide on what version of Linux you like, you can install it without removing windows. You can chose when you boot up what you want to use
Yes I had to jump through some hoops to get the boot unlocked, I guess the powers that be want me to load windows only. But I've gotten it going now and will continue to tinker. I am determined!
