When I discuss "what I do" with real normies (those that are financially unsophisticated), and I mention BTC, invariably they say "are you a trader?" -- I think in their minds, they assume anyone involved in BTC is a "degen day-trader", someone looking at technical analysis all day and doing risky things with complicated-looking charts & graphs.
But, ironically: I have actually started multiple "fiat" businesses before this, some of which scaled well above 25 employees and into many, many millions of USD in profit... and working on Lightning is actually THE FIRST time I feel like "I'm doing something which I will still be doing in 10 years."
Like, Lightning is just getting started and there is an enormous future ahead for it.
All of the prior fiat businesses, I could envision their failure/destruction (due to changing market conditions) from the very beginning.
I just don't see an end to Lightning. I think it IS the endpoint, at least for the next several decades.
