It’s still important to know how to code, otherwise you won’t know when your AI is writing bad code or going off the rails. In the same way that a chef using AI to develop a menu faster will know when they have recipes that don’t work, or an attorney using AI to draft a brief will catch it citing precedent that isn’t real.
