I think the timing of these new sex abuse allegations is very curious. Why has it taken 50+ years for this to come out?
My theory on why now is the fact that Chavez was a fierce opponent of illegal immigration. Chavez and the UFW were so against “wetbacks” that they formed their own private Border Patrol. So the "Right" says, "See, even Chavez didn't want illegal immigration!" Can't have that. Gotta burn the Chavez effigy to the ground.
