There are a few odd aspects to this.
1. The Swedish Church has sold or demolished a couple of major churches elsewhere that were decades older than this one.
2. The townspeople of #Kiruna, like most Swedes, are mostly secular and don't attend church services.
Moving the church should probably be seen primarily as a gesture of goodwill from the mining company.
